Short Film
This short film was completed as part of the first group project for the (GDE1101) Typography 2 subject. It was also part of the United Vision: Stories of Hope short film competition, which was hosted by INTI International College Subang in collaboration with SONY Malaysia. We are proud to say that this short film won second runner up in this competition.
The idea of this short film is to show that in Malaysia, we have different races living together, and different races have various iconic cuisine, but our most iconic traditional dish is Nasi Lemak, which has no doubt been everyone’s favourite meal. Different races even have tried to remake the iconic dish by making it unique to its own culture. It is no doubt that Nasi Lemak has been a national dish that never fails to unite everyone together.
We were also required to include kinetic typography in the short film. This short film was shot using an iPhone 13 and edited using Adobe After Effects. The graphics and script featured in this short film were a collaborative effort from Group NPC, comprised of Ooi Zoey, Wong Jia Hui, and Zachary Emmanuel Singkee.
